Disneyland Summer 2014

Well, here it is almost a year later and I still have not jumped on this blog train.  To recap, it has been a fantastic year for the Townsend Tribe.  Since last post, A LOT of great things have happened....

Jack started middle school in Bloomington at Tri North Middle School. I cannot believe he took the plunge! You have spoken of doing it for a few years and I guess you had a plan. Everything went super-smoothly. Your dad and I are so proud of you for taking a leap of faith and chasing your dreams. I have never known anyone so determined as you, my bigger dude. You made friends instantly; had a great school year in the classroom (minus a few hiccups, LA and writing); and on the court, well, of course you achieved great things there, as well. Coach Boddie gave Jack the Trojan Award (MVP) even with Jack being sidelined for the last half of the season due to a break on his left fifth metatarsal (from playing with Musa at the YMCA). This is the first year, as well, for the "girls"....Jack has had a crush all year for Taylor Storm. Her brothers are in the Blaze program so we see them off and on at workouts. She is a pretty girl, funny, and quite athletic. She and Jack seem to be a cute fit (for a junior high main squeeze HAHAHAHA!!). Whatever.....Bound to happen sometime, I suppose.

Reggie has had a  big year, too! He started staying with Mary Beth and Silas for this past school year. They had a great time together. Reggie has also hit a HUGE milestone...... HE STARTED WEARING UNDERWEAR!!  That's right, he's now a potty trained little dude! Took a few attempts, but when we said he could play baseball if he would stop wearing britches....well, that's all it took. Just like his big brother, he basically did it overnight. Just had to be worth it, I guess! HAHAHA! So, we are now in his second week of T-Ball. He likes it for an inning and then......he's done !!  Reggie loves playing with his trucks and tractors, loves his Disney movies (Little Mermaid, Chicken Little, Maleficent, and Paddington Bear are the favorites), loves playing with ABC Mouse, loves puzzles, and is starting to get interested a wee bit in the alphabet. He definitely knows his colors and shapes and can count to 15 or so before going astray. Thinking about getting him into a preschool a couple of days per week for the upcoming school year...... we will see.

Okay, now that we have a very quick recap of the school year,.....we will TRY to start this blog deal AGAIN. If I can just figure out a way to upload from my iPhone, I can probably keep up. That is so much handier than the computer. Excuses, excuses, I know..........

Love you guys,
Mommy

To my boys....Jack and Reggie

Well, here goes.... my first attempt at a blog.   Actually, it is just a family yearbook of sorts, as I am the world's worst record keeper.  My attempts at scrapbooking, baby book recording, heck... even just printing pictures have all been a complete fail. Aunt Katie had a blog for Grace and Anna when they lived in Knoxville and she said her goal was to print it all out for the girls when they were older. GENIUS! Maybe, just maybe, I can sit down from time to time during Reggie's nap or when Daddy is running Jack to and from whatever, and get some stuff recorded on here for you both. I really am going to try! Love you guys to the moon and back!

Love,
Mommy
